Data rooms for pension funds and endowments

A pension fund or an endowment invests under fiduciary duty. Its review of a manager's data room is formal, documented and strict about security.

Data room / Pension funds and endowments 01 Investment 02 Operational 03 Legal 04 ESG and stewardship 05 Consultant pack

Institutional allocators often use consultants and run investment and operational due diligence in parallel. Both teams work in the manager's room, with questionnaires that can run to hundreds of questions.

Their own policies usually require the manager's vendors to pass a security review: certification, encryption, two-step login and data residency. A room that fails those checks can slow or stop an allocation.

What matters most: The platform itself is reviewed; certification and access controls carry the most weight.
