Venture lenders and banks

Data rooms for venture debt

Venture debt extends runway without much dilution. Lenders underwrite the company's investors as much as the company, so the room tells both stories.

Data room / Venture debt 01 Latest round 02 Runway 03 Financial 04 IP 05 Existing debt

Venture debt usually follows an equity round. The lender wants to see that round's documents, the new runway, the burn plan and the support of existing investors. IP is often part of the security, so IP records matter.

Because the equity diligence is fresh, most founders give the lender a cut-down view of the round room rather than building a new one.

What matters most: A short process reusing the equity room: speed and clear permissions decide.
